Swim Meet 101
Your child MUST BE signed up to swim or dive at a meet. If they do not sign up at least 48 hours before the meet, they will NOT be allowed to swim or dive at the meet. It is important to declare your swimmer for every meet whether your child is attending or not.

Meet Lineups
Parents will be notified in advance with the meet lineup is available. Contact us immediately, with any questions.
Tentative Meet Arrival Times
Home meets:
Swimmers and divers arrive by 4:45 to warm up swimming at 4:50 PM
Divers warm up diving at 5:20 PM
Away meets:
Divers arrive by 4:45 to warm up diving at 5:00 PM
Swimmers arrive by 5:15 to warm up swimming at 5:25 PM
5:50 PM Team Meeting prior to National Anthem
Prior to each meet, organizers will send an email to parents confirming the arrival and warm up times.
During the Meet
Coaches will be near the block helping swimmers line up for their events, however, they will not run around the pool, snack stand, or restrooms looking for kids. PLEASE help get your kid(s) to the block when it is their turn. We line up 2 heats at a time. Listen carefully to the announcements for each event to know when they should head to the block.
Volunteers
If you signed up for a volunteer spot, we have a sign-in sheet parents will use to check-in.
Ribbons
After each meet, top finishers for each event are awarded ribbons. We make every effort to collect the ribbons at the end of the meet and distribute into the ribbon box at the next practice. Swimmers and divers can look for ribbons in the ribbons box before or after practices.
Exhibition Heats
Swimmers in these heats do not compete for point for the team or a ribbon for the top placing spots. Sometimes coaches are limited in the number of swimmers they can enter but want to give a swimmer more experience or a recorded time in a certain event. The coaches will enter these swimmers in as exhibition heat. Even if the exhibition swimmer beats the other swimmer of the same event, they will be ineligible for a ribbon or points.
Championship Eligibility
Any swimmer or diver entering swimming champs must have participated in a minimum of 3 ABE League sanctioned meets. For more champs qualifications, please read Eligibility for Silvers and Champs
